What is Challenge Based Learning?
According to the definition at Wikipedia, Challenge Based Learning is an approach that focuses on increasing student engagement. It is a collaborative learning experience in which teachers and students work together to learn about compelling issues, propose solutions to real problems, and take action. The approach asks students to reflect on their learning and the impact of their actions, and publish their solutions to a worldwide audience.
But to be able to accomplish all that, we need a challenge to start off. Here is a booklet with some proposals to rise to, compiled with the aim of taking small steps towards this type of approach, hands in hands with a group of future Primary teachers who are at the moment on a Master's Degree about CLIL and ICT at URJC, in Madrid.
